    | Alpbach - the most beautiful village in Austria and Europe's most beautiful "flower village"Our village with 2,500 inhabitants is situated at 1,000 meters sea level on a sunny mountain plateau in the Alpbach valley. In 1983, thanks to a building ordinance to preserve the traditional architectural style and uniformity, not to mention the splendid flowers dispersed throughout the town, Alpbach was named the "most beautiful village in Austria". And in 1993, this mountain village won the European title of "the most beautiful flower village in Europe".On September 2, 2004, Alpbach won the "white Oscar", a golden award from the "The Good Skiing and Snowboarding Guide" for the most important small ski village in Europe. Our village has a total of 2,500 guest beds in all categories for our visitors. We have approx. 300,000 overnight stays during a balanced summer and winter season with a mixture of guests from all over the world. And although tourism has become our main economy, there are still 105 farms that are in operation today - the same number of farms that have been around for centuries! |
