Snowshoe hiking and winter walking in Tyrol

On a winter hike through the Alpbach Valley, you will experience the magic of snowy forests, mountains and landscapes as if you were in a fairytale. Our extensive network of hiking paths takes you through the breathtakingly magnificent countryside. Walking and winter hiking in Tyrol is particularly magical in the colder seasons.

Over 20 kilometres of winter hiking paths lead you from the Hotel Galtenberg through the snowy Alpbach Valley. Snowshoes will even allow you to reach places that are not otherwise accessible on foot at this time of year and where you will be able to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the pristine nature.

Whether you prefer to go for a relaxed hike on the spacious hiking paths or go cross-country on snowshoes, the healthy exercise in the clear winter air will do you good and is also plenty of fun. Look for animal tracks in the snow together with your children or simply admire the masterpieces of nature. From strange-looking icicles to frozen waterfalls: There is always something to discover in winter in the Alpbach Valley.
